So, I went surfing in Sri Lanka (I feel like I just repeated what I said in the title). Anyhow, as my first time ever surfing, it was quite fun. It all looks so easy when everyone else does it, so why shouldn’t I be able to do it? Should be a cinch. Not. A. Chance.
The orientation that was pretty straightforward.
It was actually really cool to finally figure out how surfers actually surf. Anyways, we finished the orientation in about 10 minutes and then we were out on the water.
We had the last 5o minutes to basically have a crash course in how to surf ( Literally in some cases). It felt so fun to actually surf. It’s such an awesome experience to be able ride in the waves while standing on a board that could theoretically tip over in any second. In the end, I really wanted to do it again, with a few extra courses of course. I highly recommend that you try it at least once in your lifetime.
Lastly, hats off to the instructors at mountain wave surf school who taught me and my dad to surf.
