For the longest time before arriving in Iceland I had always found the idea of “the land of the midnight sun” to be a rather bizarre (and frankly quite absurd) idea. Not thinking I would ever experience it I remained quite unfazed last night when it never quite seemed to get dark…and I never quite seemed to feel fatigue.
So imagine my surprise when I glanced at my watch, the city still lit with the fading light that one might experience at around 7pm during a Saskatchewan august….only to find it was a few minutes after midnight!
Suffice to say…It’s a little weird.
